The Solano Stroll is this Sunday, Sept. 13— celebrating 50 years! One of the early organizers was the woman in this photo, owner of Sue Johnson Custom Lamps and Shades who is a Mexico By Hand client. See the beautiful copper lamp to her right? That was a copper vase made in Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacán. The store has a variety of sizes of copper lamps, and gorgeous lampshades created by Sue. We suggest you check her out at 1745 Solano Avenue, Berkeley on Stroll day or any other day. The event stretches through Berkeley and Albany with over 400 vendors offering up food, art, entertainment, government and nonprofit resources. Free shuttles will run from North Berkeley BART station, and free bicycle valet parking will be available. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. FREE
