The lab has spent five to six days creating an embryo with reproductive potential. Quality control has been rigorous. Every protocol has been followed to the letter. Embryo transfer is the last leg of a marathon.

To carry that level of precision through transfer, Beanie Welch prefers the Soft-Pass™ ET Catheter from Cook Medical, now part of Nexpring Health, “I’ve used the Soft-Pass™ ET Catheter for 22 years.”

For Lab Director Erin Scott, MD, PhD, our lasers are an essential part of her workflow. From assisted hatching to trophectoderm biopsy, laser-assisted techniques provide the precision and control so you have greater confidence in each procedure. Because every detail matters.

37°C. Simple target. Hard to hold. 🌡️
Even brief temperature dips during handling, micromanipulation, or incubation can compromise spindle integrity and add avoidable variability to fertilization and embryo development.

So where does temperature control break down in the IVF lab, and how do you prevent it?

Join embryologist Antonio Alcaide, Clinical Science & Education Manager at Nexpring Health, with 30+ years of lab experience worldwide, for our webinar and panel discussion:

Why Temperature Matters for Culture and Stability
📅 8 October, 3PM CEST / 9AM Eastern

✔️ Where: The points in the IVF workflow where deviations most often occur
✔️ Impact: How fluctuations affect spindle integrity and embryo development
✔️ Prevention: Practical ways to keep conditions stable during handling and micromanipulation
✔️ Incubation: What to look for in a system built for consistent temperature

The presentation will be followed by a live panel Q&A session with Antonio Alcaide, James Lee, Raj Joshi, and Karina Sutherland.

Great physicians can adapt to almost anything. But on transfer day, they should not have to compensate for problems that arise from the same old tools. Because physicians shouldn't have to compensate for their tools when consistency matters most.

In this case study, Lowell Ku, MD, found that familiar catheter limitations meant spending part of his focus managing sticking and resistance instead of focusing entirely on embryo placement. After switching to the Soft-Pass™ ET Catheter, he noticed a difference: less sticking, smoother navigation, and more control during the transfer.

In transitioning to Soft Pass ET Catheters, pregnancy rates remained consistent. Today, Dr. Ku uses Soft-Pass™ ET catheters across all cases, regardless of transfer difficulty.

Trust isn't something we ask for. It's something we've built, needle by needle, pump by pump, for over 40 years. We build it in one place: our own facility in Australia, where the double lumen o**m pick up needle was invented and where the manufacturing standard behind every Nexpring Health needle and pump still lives today.

We don't cut corners on quality, every needle is made as sharp, precise, and reliable as the procedure demands. That standard runs through the pump too, delivering the consistent, controlled aspiration that carries precision through the entire pickup. It's what 40 years of real clinical use gives you: a needle and pump that's been refined, not a first attempt.

🔬 "And our trophectoderms are nice and juicy.” says Ashley Wong. "We have seen a better trophectoderm cell layer development and earlier blastocyst development. Where we used to see full expanded blastocyst development on day six, has really transitioned to day five."

Sometimes progress is about doing less, and doing it with confidence. That kind of confidence doesn’t happen by accident, it comes from the highest standards of quality and supply chain reliability. For this lab director, that progress meant rethinking a familiar part of the workflow. By eliminating Day 3 checks, the team reduced unnecessary handling and kept embryos in a more consistent culture environment.
