High-quality healthcare can only be safely delivered in a dignified healthcare space.
Patients and clinicians alike require access to infrastructure that can support them. That can can look like access to reliable (and even renewable!) electricity, medical oxygen, clean water, and well-maintained medical equipment.
This , we’re highlighting the infrastructure that helps make safer care possible.

It takes many people and partners (and determination!) to bring equitable healthcare to resource-constrained settings.
One key gap is around technical skillbuilding and training of technical workforces. Manufacturers of medical equipment, such as RIX Industries, can play a crucial role in this work.
Learn how RIX is supporting Build Health International and biomedical personnel across Africa to save lives, one training at a time.
RIX and BHI Partner for Oxygen Training in Kigali Build Health International and RIX Industries have teamed up to bring hands-on training opportunities to biomedical technicians from across Africa

Where in the world is BHI Engineering? 🌍
This month, we're in: 📍South Africa!
In partnership with the Global Fund, BHI has developed a solar-powered container solution designed to bring reliable electricity and connectivity to even the most remote healthcare facilities.
BHI Biomedical Engineer, Steve Mtewa, recently traveled to South Africa to work alongside our manufacturing partners as the prototype comes to life.
Designed with rural healthcare in mind, the solution is built to be scalable, transportable, and easy to install and maintain.
Stay tuned for more updates!

Successful healthcare projects involve extensive research, planning, and documentation, all of which can contribute to strengthening healthcare systems. 📋
These efforts can require on-site visits. And this past month, BHI Architect and Medical Planner Rene Gasana met with the Lesotho-Boston Health Alliance and other stakeholders in Leribe and Maseru, Lesotho to talk about the development of a future medical school.
Supported by the Foundation, this project is one step closer to providing training and educational opportunities to Lesotho's next generation of healthcare workers.
