The Big Spring Junior High Facebook Fan Page is provided for the district community by the Big Spring ISD Community Relations Department. We will update this page as often as possible to share as much as we can about Big Spring Junior High and the achievements of the students and staff, as well as other relevant district community information. The intent of this policy is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of the Big Spring ISD staff and students, naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed (and is just generally rude.) The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they do not run afoul of the rules nor of the district’s Acceptable Use Guidelines regarding Internet access and practices. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say; however, we will not leave postings that:
Break the law or encourage others to do so. Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic and sexist as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit. Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms. Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others - i.e. don’t pick fights or goad others into inflammatory debates. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product. If you wouldn’t want to receive it yourself, don’t post it. The page administrators reserve the right to not post or remove any comments at any time, for any reason…but we hope that won’t ever be necessary. The 7th grade A team suffered a tough loss Thursday night at Midland Christian (9-25, 25-13). Laylah Armendariz and Cori Ramey played well on both offense and defense. Kayleen Solis, Adilyn Olague, and Kai’Laani contributed key digs and hits. The team learned a wealth of information from their experience and are dedicated to making improvements.
Big Spring 7th Grade B Team battled against a tough Midland Christian team. The girls really stepped up in the second set and stayed right with them, but ultimately came up short. Ava Walleck, Emmery Moreno, Luna Enriquez, and Aaliyah Rangel played great defense and showed big steps of growth on the court. Proud of the way this group continues to compete, improve, and fight each game!
8th grade A team loss to Midland Christian (25-11,25-11). The Lady Steers offensive players of the game were Salsabil Bouhala ,Andreminah Smith,and Remmi Strickland with a couple of attacks at the net.Followed by Andraya Smith and Kaycee Kinsey with blocks at the net. Defensive players of the game were Selena Sosa ,Daiana Valles ,KaMya Groage , and Ava Galindo with passing to the target we will continue to work and become stronger unified team.
Big Spring B Team battled against a tough Midland Christian team and continued to show great effort and improvement. Peyton and Deyjah had some strong kills, while Emarie and Desiree contributed with great serving and aces. Adalyn added a strong block at the net. Proud of their effort and the way they continue to improve each game!

BSJH Mums & Garter Reminder!!!
On Friday September 25, 2026:
* No deliveries will be accepted for mums and garters to be delivered to students.
* All bells or any items that make noise must be taped in place to limit any classroom distractions.
* For the safety of all students, faculty, and staff members, please make sure that all pieces that are a part of student mums and garters are secured. This includes feathers!!!
