Five days. 52 volunteers. 6 of us from Montana. Thousands of lives touched.
We recently had the incredible opportunity to serve in Turks & Caicos alongside iCARE – Great SHAPE! Inc. The team of volunteers & industry professionals provided eye exams, health screenings with education, laser procedures, and prescription eyewear to people in the community.
And the numbers were amazing:
👁️ 4,815 patients served
❤️ 1,010 health screenings + education
✨ 122 SLT laser procedures
✨ 12 PRP laser procedures
👓 159 prescription glasses distributed
🕶️ 709 custom prescription glasses to be made
😎 3,000+ readers and sunglasses given away
But these numbers represent people — people who can now see more clearly, learn more about their health, and have access to care they may not otherwise have received.
And you helped make it happen.
Many of you purchased raffle tickets to help fund this mission. More people earned the trip than were ultimately able to attend because of date changes, but six of us were able to represent Montana & were able to make the journey this time.
These photos are a glimpse of what we accomplished together. ❤️
And the mission continues! Another group will be heading to a different destination next fall, giving more of you an opportunity to be part of this incredible experience.
Six of us may have made the trip, but we went carrying the support of so many.

✨Spring into Sight Foundation would not exist without the passion and drive of our founder, Salicia Borges! In a recent Vision Monday article Salicia said, "What inspires me most is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's everyday life." Salicia's dedication to community service and helping people see clearly while also gaining confidence in how they look is the backbone of Spring Into Sight, and why it is such meaningful cause that is so close to all our hearts!! 💓💟

👀 Another awesome human has entered the spotlight! Megan Heyneman is one of the dedicated board members helping Spring into Sight Foundation bring clearer vision to our community. We asked Megan why she wanted to join the board, and she replied, "To serve the community and spread God's love by helping people in need. I was once in a position where I need help with glasses, and now I get a chance to help others with that same need." 💗
