Shipshape AgWorks

You guys, look what we did!! 🌱🏆

Shipshape AgWorks won our category at Sloss.Tech/Ideas!

We took the stage in with a message close to our hearts: food is infrastructure. Fresh food, skilled jobs, education, local production, and community resilience are all connected.

That message starts right here at home.

As we continue developing our next project in our hometown , this win gives us more momentum for the work ahead.

Thank you to Sloss Tech, the Ideas team, judges, sponsors, organizers, mentors, and everyone who made the event possible. Congratulations to the other winners and finalists. We were proud to share the stage with you.

We are grateful. We are fired up.

And Mobile, we are just getting started. 😉💚

The .tech festivities are still going strong!

We’re sitting down with our friend Jeremy Tidmore of Tradewinds Software Corporation oration to discuss From Fields to the Future: Building Tech for Rural Industries.

This session looks at what it really takes to bring technology into agriculture and rural operations, where innovation has to work beyond the pitch deck: limited connectivity, aging infrastructure, established processes, and real-world constraints.

That is where Shipshape AgWorks lives.

We are building food and farm infrastructure that can serve communities where they are, from urban centers to rural economies across Alabama and the Southeast.

Thanks to Innovate Alabama for sponsoring this event!

We’re headed to the .tech /Ideas stage!

On Thursday, June 25 at 3:00 PM, Shipshape AgWorks will take the stage at the historic Lyric Theatre.

Fresh food shouldn’t have to travel farther than the people eating it.

We’re building a future where underused spaces become farms and food hubs, bringing local food production closer to the communities they serve.

We’re honored to be one of 16 finalists in the Sloss.Tech/Ideas Pitch Competition, powered by Regions Foundation and backed primarily by .

From early prototypes to active deployments, it’s been a busy season behind the scenes at Shipshape AgWorks.

Our Founder & CEO, , recently sat down with our friends at to talk about the journey so far, what we’re building, and where we’re headed next.

We’ve been hard at work growing systems designed for the future of food, workforce development, and adaptive agricultural infrastructure.

Follow along to keep up with what’s next.

At 2:45 AM, we stood on Cocoa Beach and watched a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carry our seeds from into orbit.

The Rhodium SpaceAg Veterans mission, led by fic, is sending these seeds to the Space Station National Laboratory to study how crops adapt beyond Earth’s atmosphere—knowledge that could teach us about growing resilient food systems here at home.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do: food is infrastructure, on Earth and beyond.

Did you know Disney has a vertical farm inside EPCOT? 🌱

Our team got a behind-the-scenes look at their hydroponic and aquaponic systems on the tour. For us, it was a reminder that advanced agriculture isn’t just about production—it’s also about storytelling, education, and sparking curiosity in the next generation.
