I feel like my products are a part of an art form that has been forgotten about for a long time. I wa My name is Martha Ellen Gunn, I'm the hands behind Mend.

Mend: Embroidery to me is a love, a release, a soothing pass time, a self expression and a fond memory. Mend officially began in 2011 as a creative outlet; a way to fill a void that could only be satisfied by creating. In reality, Mend has always existed, it just wasn't given a name for some time. Mend is the most fitting name and description for what I love to do. I have always loved to create, to make, to fix and to bring new life to something forgotten. My love for embroidery has been cultivated over a number of years, beginning at age 8 when my grandmother thought me how to cross stitch. Soon after I went to "sewing boot camp" at my aunts. This family love affair with sewing and stitching has only grown and become a special bond between my grandmother, my aunt and me. Embroidery to me is a love, a release, a soothing pass time, a self expression and a fond memory. I hope you come to love Mend as much as I do!
