We are proud to congratulate Kim Smith on being named the Horizons School’s Community Partner of the Year!

Kim received this recognition for her work with Horizons students through DRR’s Empower Me program, where she helps young people with disabilities build the knowledge, confidence, and skills to speak up for themselves, make informed choices, and prepare for greater independence.

Kim’s commitment to the students she serves and her partnership with The Horizons School truly reflect DRR’s mission of empowering people with disabilities to fully participate in the community.

Congratulations, Kim, on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to have you representing DRR and Empower Me!

What a way to celebrate the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🎆

Last week at the Hoover Met, we had the opportunity to connect with Mayor Nick Derzis and members of the City Council, join fellow community members in setting a Guinness World Record for the most Coke cans opened simultaneously, and cheer on Ashley Lovell as she claimed victory in the hot dog eating contest.

A special thank-you to Ashley for the invitation and for helping make the evening so memorable!
