Avondale Library - Birmingham Public Library System
Avondale Regional Library is part of the Birmingham Alabama Public Library system In 2005, the library closed again for renovations and refurbishing.
At the turn of the 20th century, Andrew Carnegie, the industrialist and philanthropist, donated $10,000 to the city of Avondale to build a library. The beautiful building lasted 50 years, at which time the City of Birmingham and the library board recognized the need for a new building. The new library was built in 1961 complete with air-conditioning and increased space. In 1982, the city used bond

And, funding has been approved for FREE CHAIR YOGA at Avondale Library every 1st and 3rd Wednesday through December. I'll be back teaching both classes starting in September.
