Day 2 results from the ViolaBoyz Backroad Rumble.

Drivers came from all over the country for this race. Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Minnesota, California, North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Nevada, Oregon, Ohio, and even Canada!

🟢Parker (500 Winged Outlaw-50 Entries)
Only 16 of the 50 made it into the big show, so he had his work cut out for him!
C Main- He started 6th out of 16 cars in the race and they were only taking the top 4 to the B main. He worked his way to 4th. On that same lap the caution came out so he had to go back to 5th. Didn’t have a great start and fell back a few spots. Racing hard with another car he then got ran off the backstretch by another driver. Caution came out and he was sent to the back, and worked his way up to 10th, going for more and just ran out of laps.

Upset not to make it into the B Main but he overcame a lot this weekend and it was great experience to be racing with that many cars at such a high level of competition!

🔵Bowen (250 Winged Outlaw- 27 entries)
B Main: 4th➡️5th.
Bo just had a really tight kart for the race. He drove great, but every lap the push got worse and worse. All in all he knew he did the best he could. And again they only started 16 of 27 cars, and there were no slouches! Very tough competition!! A lot was learned and fun was had.

🔴Marshall (RBox- 17 Entries)
17th➡️16th
Man, we are so proud of this kid!! I think I (Mom) was the more nervous for this kid than I was Parker and Bowen. He’s never been on the track with that many cars at one time. He did so great! Papa, dad, and mom gave him some tips and he listened to all of them. He hit his marks every lap and was keeping up with those in front of him. With 2 laps to go there was a wreck between two other karts. He avoided and came to a stop. After that his engine wouldn’t fire back up so he didn’t get to finish the last two laps. But we were so proud of him! Gaining more confidence every time he’s out there!

We were so busy yesterday, but Bowen turned 12!! Happy Birthday bud! Very cool to get to race on your birthday!

Night 1 of the Rumble is in the books. We did qualifying and heats last night. Kind of a strange format with a points system but I will post that below also. Here is how it went down for us…

🟢Parker (500 Winged Outlaw- 50 Entries)
Qualifying (Group B - 14th of 27)
Heat: 5th➡️5th

Today he will start 6th in the C main. Top 4 transfer to the B Main.

🔵Bowen (250 Winged Outlaw-27 Entries)
Qualifying (Group B - 11th of 13)
Heat 3: 6th➡️5th

He will start 4th in his B Main today. Top 2 transfer to the A Main.

🔴Marshall (Rbox - 17 Entries)
Qualifying (16th)
Heat: DNF (Marshall was doing a great job and keeping up with the pack. He missed his line a little and it upset his kart, he spun on the edge of the track and the track and the infield and a caution was not thrown, ending his night. Good news is he will get to go A main racing today and get some more experience.
