Our 1st Nine Weeks 6th and 7th Grade Health classes wrapped up their cooking unit last week with some great hands-on experiences!

🥢 6th Grade students took their learning off campus for a visit to Tin Loong Restaurant, where they learned firsthand how to cook hibachi-style! A BIG thank you to Tin Loong for welcoming our students and sharing their kitchen expertise with them! Our 6th graders also spent some time in the kitchen at school cooking up soup beans, and cornbread!

🍳 7th Grade students put their cooking skills to work preparing a delicious breakfast of sausage, eggs, and French toast!

We also want to give a huge thank you to our parents and families who donated food items for our classes. Your generosity helped provide these hands-on learning opportunities and made our cooking unit a success! 💙

🚚🍔 FOOD TRUCK FUN IN 8TH GRADE HEALTH! 🌮🍕

Last week, our 1st Nine Weeks 8th-grade Health students put their creativity and cooking skills to the test during their cooking unit!

Working in groups, students created their very own food truck businesses from the ground up! They designed advertisements and logos, developed menus with nutrition labels, created their food truck designs, and even brought in a sample menu item for everyone to enjoy!

Our students did an awesome job bringing their food truck ideas to life, and sampling their delicious creations was definitely a highlight!

Friday: Snow-Cone and Popcorn Reward Day. Students can purchase these items during lunchtime with their Rebel Passes.

Basketball Tryouts: Boys' and Girls' basketball tryouts will be held Wednesday, September 23rd – Friday, September 25th.
Girls: 3:15–5:15 PM (FCMS Gym)
Boys: 5:15–7:00 PM (FCMS Gym)
Reminder: Students MUST have a current physical and all ATS online paperwork completed before participating in tryouts.
