Andrew Garfield says one part of that experience is still with him.

Preparing for the 2016 film meant nearly a year in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius under Jesuit priest Father James Martin, along with losing about 40 pounds and living celibate for six months, yet Garfield later said the unexpected part was falling in love with Jesus Christ.

In an August 31, 2026 interview published September 2, the 43-year-old said that private encounter remains, describing a connection that is present whether we notice it or not, even though he does not identify as a Christian.

Sometimes the strangest part of a story is not that someone went looking for Christ, but that years later they are still trying to explain why the encounter never quite left them.

The NFL fined Arizona Cardinals backup cornerback Kei'Trel Clark $6,651 for writing "Glory Be 2 God" on his eyeblack during Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The league said the message violated its rules against displaying personal messages on game day.

Clark responded with a bold message of faith:
"I got to report to God at the end of my days on the day of judgment! I'll always give God the Glory and out loud.
All good."

🚨CHRISTIANS, WE NEED TO TALK: HIS WORST MOMENT DOESN’T HAVE TO BECOME HIS IDENTITY‼️

After Ole Miss defeated LSU 32-24, Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was interviewed by ESPN’s Holly Rowe. He started the interview by giving glory to Jesus.

Unfortunately, he ended the interview by saying a curse word.

Was that a good look? No. Was he wrong for it? Absolutely.

And to his credit, he came back this morning and apologized for what he said.

But what has disappointed me is the response I have seen from some Christians.

And what I’m about to say is not for the unbeliever. This is for us as believers.

Instead of celebrating the glory that Trinidad gave to Jesus, we have allowed one moment of failure to become the headline. People have called him pathetic and said all kinds of things about him.

Again, I am not excusing what he did. Sin is sin. We should never compromise on that.

But we have to do a better job of building one another up.

Imagine if Facebook or X existed when Peter denied Jesus and cursed while doing it.

Imagine if social media existed when David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had Uriah killed.

Imagine if social media existed when Noah was found drunk and exposed in his tent.

These men were wrong. Their actions had consequences. Scripture does not excuse their sin.

But Scripture also shows us something beautiful about the grace of God.

Their worst moment did not become the entirety of their identity.

So why do we, as the Church, so often treat people like their worst moment is all they are?

We are called to correct one another. We are called to hold one another accountable. We are called to pursue holiness.

But we are also called to encourage one another, restore one another, and bear with one another.

There should never be a point where the world is more gracious toward one of our brothers or sisters than we are.

The Church should not be the place where someone is destroyed for stumbling.

It should be the place where someone who falls finds brothers and sisters willing to help them get back up.

Trinidad was wrong. He admitted he was wrong. He apologized.

Now, instead of continuing to tear him down, maybe we should pray for him, encourage him, and remember that every one of us is standing in need of the same grace we so freely received.

We cannot preach grace to the world while refusing to extend it to one another.

BEFORE YOU JUDGE HIS WORST MOMENT, REMEMBER YOUR OWN NEED FOR GRACE!

The scene looks quiet. The walls behind them tell a different story. In Wukari Diocese, Taraba State, Nigeria, church leaders have reported that 217 church buildings were destroyed, more than 98,000 people displaced, and over 100 people killed.
After attacks on rural communities in places like Takum, Ussa, and Donga, clergy from Wukari and Jalingo dioceses walked into the streets on February 12, 2026, asking their government to act.
The image shows a moment of grief after destruction. It reminds us that behind every number are congregations, families, and people trying to worship and rebuild their lives.

‼️THEY KIDNAPPED A MISSIONARY AT GUNPOINT — THEN SHE BEGAN PRAYING!🔥

In Nairobi, Kenya, missionary Mendy Nantz was kidnapped at gunpoint by three armed men while waiting outside a mission compound.

As they drove away, Mendy prayed, asking God to protect her. When the kidnappers pulled toward an isolated cemetery, she feared the worst—but then something happened.

An overwhelming peace came over her.

She continued praying and began boldly whispering the name of Jesus inside the vehicle. She even held her Bible tightly against her heart.

Then, suddenly, the kidnappers stopped.

Instead of taking her through the gate where she believed she would disappear forever, they forced her into the driver’s seat and let her go.

Mendy later learned that within 10 minutes of her kidnapping, a worldwide prayer chain had been mobilized, with hundreds of people praying for her. (Baptist Press⁠)

And there were other extraordinary details:

*Her final honk before being taken alerted a neighbor, who saw the kidnapping and notified her friends.

*The kidnappers threw blue balloons from the vehicle. An airplane pilot saw the balloons from above, helping searchers identify the area where her vehicle was located.

*Mendy specifically prayed that the men would not touch her—and she said they never touched her.

She believed God had intervened and credited the prayers of believers for her protection.

Mendy later said the experience strengthened her relationship with God and her commitment to prayer. She even prayed that her kidnappers would someday come to know Jesus.

🚨ARCHAEOLOGISTS UNCOVER THE FIRST-CENTURY WORLD WHERE JESUS TAUGHT IN CAPERNAUM🔥

Beneath the famous white limestone synagogue of Capernaum, archaeologists found something that pulls an ancient Gospel scene closer to the ground beneath our feet.

Hidden below the later building were basalt walls and flooring from the first century, the same era when the Gospels place Jesus teaching in this Galilean town. The identification of those remains as the exact synagogue mentioned in Scripture is still discussed by archaeologists, but the discovery reveals the world of Mark 1:21 to 28 and Luke 7:1 to 5 with remarkable clarity.

The stones of Capernaum still remind us that the stories of Scripture happened in real places among real people.
