🚨 Another life saved at Healthy Pets Veterinary Care. 🥹
After a thorough examination, our medical team discovered the cause: severe Churu deficiency. 😔
Thankfully, treatment was started immediately and our patient made a miraculous recovery. 🐱❤️🩹
Please hug your cats a little tighter tonight. Churu deficiency can happen to anyone. 😂

🔬 Can You Guess Where This Came From? 👀🐾
Take a look under the microscope! 🔬
See all those tiny purple dots? Those are cocci — round-shaped bacteria. Cocci can be seen on canine skin cytology, and cytology helps our veterinary team evaluate what may be happening at the site.
But here’s the fun part…
Can you guess where we collected this sample from? 🤔
An ear? 👂
A skin lesion?
Between the toes? 🐾
Nope — a DOG’S TOENAIL! 💅🐶
Sometimes the tiniest part of your pet can tell us a whole story under the microscope. 🦠🔬
Just another day of playing detective at Healthy Pets Veterinary Care! 🐾💙

How do we earn our patients’ trust? 🐱💕
Step 1: Lots of sweet talk.
Step 2: Churu. Lots of Churu.
Step 3: Introduce them to the catnip cabinet. 🌿😂
Step 4: Congratulations, you’re best friends now.
Moo Moo came in for a veterinary visit and somehow ended up licking Churu off a tongue depressor and rolling around in our stash of catnip toys. 😂
Around here, we’ll do whatever it takes to make our patients feel a little more comfortable and turn a potentially stressful vet visit into a positive experience. 🥹🐾
Safe to say we won Moo Moo over. 💕

🍂🎃 Fall officially started yesterday… so naturally, some of our patients took that as their cue to start trying on Halloween costumes. 😂💗
It may only be September, but apparently spooky season waits for no one around here. 👻🐾
We’re not saying the hot pink wig is going to be the look of Halloween 2026… but these two are making a pretty strong case for it. 💅😂
What do we think — should they keep the pink hair for Halloween? 🎃💕
What REALLY happens when we take your pet “to the back” 👀😂
We promise we’re getting their vitals, collecting samples, preparing treatments, and doing all the important medical stuff…
…but there may also be bandanas.
And belly rubs.
And baby talk.
And several employees sitting on the floor.
And someone telling your dog they’re the best patient we’ve ever had. 🤷♀️🐾
Very serious veterinary business happening back here. Extremely professional. No distractions whatsoever. 😂
And yes, your pets get approximately 847% more baby talk when you’re not around.
Sometimes the hardest part of the appointment is convincing them that they actually have to go home. 😂
The treatment area is basically equal parts medicine and emotional support. 💕🐾
Behind the scenes at Healthy Pets Veterinary Care 🩺💕
Not every anesthesia drug table is for anesthesia! 👀💉
This patient came in for a possible vaccine reaction, so our team prepared a drug table with patient-specific calculations in case emergency medications were needed.
It’s one of those little behind-the-scenes steps pet owners may never see—but preparation matters when every second counts. 🩺🐾
The things we do for a urine sample… 😂🐶💦
Sometimes checking for a UTI starts with one of our team members following your pup around the yard, cup in hand, waiting for the perfect opportunity. 🎯
He said, “You want my p*e? You’re gonna have to work for it.” 🤣
All this work just for a little p*e — but that urine sample can tell us a LOT, including helping us check for signs of a UTI! 🩺🐾

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸🐾
We honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the incredible search-and-rescue dogs and their handlers who worked tirelessly in the days that followed.
Heroes came on two legs and four. ❤️🤍💙
We will never forget.

🦷✨ Dental Month may have ended… but the dental grind hasn’t!
Just because August is over doesn’t mean your pet’s dental health stops being important. 😉 We’re still over here fighting plaque, tackling tartar, and turning smiles like THIS around. 👏🐾
Take a look at this before & after! 👀✨
Your pet’s teeth don’t know Dental Month is over — so if their smile could use a little TLC, give us a call to schedule their dental cleaning! 🪥💙
