After our stay at the Eldan Hotel, we wanted to give another family the chance to create memories of their own.
We’re giving away a complimentary night at the Eldan Hotel in Jerusalem to a deserving miluim family or the family of an active-duty soldier.

We just read the story of the spies, and I can’t help but notice the striking parallels to today. The spies weren’t ordinary Jews. They were the leaders of their generation, the people everyone looked to for guidance. Their message wasn’t that Israel wasn’t holy. Their message was that now wasn’t the time, that the risks were too great, that Jewish life was better somewhere else.
One of the most common responses I hear when talking about aliyah is, “If we’re all supposed to be making aliyah, why aren’t the rabbis telling us to?” It’s a fair question, but it’s also the exact question this week’s parsha forces us to ask. What happens when respected leaders and the Torah’s vision point in different directions? The Jewish people spent 2,000 years praying to return to Israel. Now Israel exists. The gates are open. So what are we waiting for?
Is Mashiach already unfolding before our eyes?
Or have we turned a real Jewish belief into something that feels more like a fairy tale?
For thousands of years, Jews dreamed of returning to Israel. Today, millions of Jews live in a sovereign Jewish state. Hebrew is spoken in the streets. Exiles have returned from every corner of the world. Yet many of us still struggle to see how any of this could be connected to the process of redemption.
In this week’s episode, we ask some of the biggest questions in Judaism.
