Busy Witch Box

The Sabbats give us thresholds. But most of our practice happens between them. Mabon has passed, samhain is still ahead and the season hasn’t stopped moving just because there isn’t a date marked on the wheel today so, notice what has changed. What is growing quieter what has finished producing what is drying, dropping, ripening, or preparing?
What has appeared that wasn’t there two weeks ago? You don’t need to assign a correspondence to it yet. Just notice it. Because before we decide what something means in our craft, there is value in learning what it actually does. The wheel gives us thresholds. The season gives us everything in between.

Tomorrow, light & dark meet as equals. The Maybon spirit board waits upon the altar, the apples have been gathered, and the work of the equinox is ready to begin. There is something I love about this night before the wheel turns.
The ritual has been written the tools have been created. Everything is in its place.
And now, we wait for the threshold tomorrow we cross from equal balance into the dark half of the year.
Come to the equinox with what you have gathered. Come as the witch you are as this season is speaking.

The work begins with the witch.

Love how this custom Mabon Pendulum Board turned out🍁 On its way to you🖤

The Autumn Equinox gives us a moment to mark the turning year, but the season rarely waits for the calendar to announce its arrival.

sometimes it’s the light. Sometimes it’s the first cool morning, the way the air smells, or the moment I realize I’m reaching for a sweater before I walk outside.
Here in Boise, I feel autumn announced herself earlier this week. Two mornings in a row I stepped outside to a bit of rain, crisp air & that unmistakable feeling that the season has shifted.

I think this noticing is actually part of our craft. Before the correspondence is chosen, before the altar is dressed, before we begin, the working, the season is already speaking.
So I’m curious…
What tells you autumn has arrived where you live? And, are you feeling it yet?

For the second morning in a row, I stepped outside & felt autumn at the doorstep. 🍂

Brisk. Rainy. That unmistakable crispness in the air that says the season is beginning to turn.

Mabon is still a few weeks away, but the shift doesn’t wait for a date on the calendar. The light is changing. The mornings are cooling. The land is already beginning its descent toward autumn.

This is where our Craft begins.

Not with the Sabbat itself, but with noticing what is already happening around us.

The season is already speaking. ✨

We all need this reminder
