Shawn Rippner Kiln Formed Glass

An older piece, it combines powder work, pate de verre, and a photo image/decal taken from inside my old burned out home, three miles west of Paradise California. This piece represents my old life (bottom) and my new life (top) and all of our possessions and memories floating up into a new life. I started this piece at Pilchuck, six months after the Camp Fire. The Camp Fire took out the whole town of Paradise California on November 8th, 2018.
