Lügenpresse. Lying press. Hi**er attacked the credibility of the press. Once the N***s had power, they systematically destroyed its independence, shutting down or seizing opposition newspapers and purging journalists. The government dictated what Germans could be told, and criticism of the N**i regime eventually became illegal. Trump spent years screaming “FAKE NEWS!” at journalism that challenged him, attacked him or refused to bend to what he wanted reported. Now journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico have been banned from the White House, their credentials revoked, with Trump threatening that more could follow. And spare me the N***s were socialists because Socialist appeared in the party name. North Korea’s official name is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Nobody with a functioning brain thinks that makes North Korea a democracy. A free press isn’t free when the government gets to decide who may report based on whether the man in power likes what they report. Take away the freedom of the press and you no longer have a free press. You have propaganda.
