I was running with pain for months and decided it was time to find answers if I wanted to continue to enjoy running. With the help of Maria I am now running pain free and couldn't be happier! I can't recommend her enough ❤️

Your running buddy is ready. Your shoes are ready. Your legs? They might need a minute. 👀

Coming back after a break can be exciting...and tempting to pick up right where you left off.

Give yourself room to build. Start with manageable runs, leave time to recover, and check in with how you feel during your run AND the next day.

Share this with your running buddies and as always, reach out if you have any questions!

Dreaming of ski season already??? Join the club!

Want this year to be the best one possible? You should start preparing your body to tolerate the long days on the hill now. Here's three exercises to start the process for you!

1. Rearfoot Elevated Split Squats: A great single-leg activity to work on quad strength and control. This one will pay dividends as your pow days wear on and legs want to get tired!

2. Stork Squats: Say hello to your hips and quads! This one is great to work on your single leg control with a hip and quad focus. Your turns this winter will thank you for this one!

3. Copenhagen Dips: You know you can pizza, but can you bring those skis back together? This one will get after those adductor muscles that allow you to pull those skis back together nicely.

Intentionally training to lift heavy requires a core system that coordinates well under increased pressure. Understanding how to use your breath, abdominals, pelvic floor, and pelvic positioning to support your spine can give you confidence in your next strength session.

A coordinated core isn't about maximal tension, it's about timing. Your breath should move air in a way that pressurizes your trunk before the load hits, not after you're already straining.

Swipe through to see how breath, brace, and pelvic floor work together during a heavy lift and a few cues you can try in your next session.

The performance enhancer every runner should be using? Sleep. 😴

It’s free, it’s legal, and it plays a role in how you recover and show up for your next run. Poor sleep quality has also been linked with a higher risk of running injuries.

So, how’s yours? Give your sleep a score from 0–10 based on the past couple of weeks. Then ask yourself: What would make it one point better?

Choose one small change and practice it for a week. Notice what helps, adjust if needed, and build from there. You don’t have to overhaul your nights all at once.

What’s one thing you could try this week? 👇

I worked with Ben and he was great! I have had a number of knee surgeries that have limited my mobility. He explained everything through the process which helped me understand the reasoning behind the exercises and I improved my mobility through the program. At the end, he helped put together a guide for the future to keep me engaged. Would recommend.

Our team had a blast supporting cross country athletes at Eagle Island Invitational on Saturday! Ran injury screens, helped runners recover in the Normatec boots, and cheered on so many athlets! (Shout out to our Groundwork crew 🙌) There's nothing quite like the energy of a XC meet! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi 😊

Return to exercise isn’t about clearing a deadline.

It’s about rebuilding with intention - for the changes your body went through in pregnancy AND postpartum. ✨

There’s no universal week number for this. Your history > your calendar.

Time DOES matter.

But not in the way you think it might.

It means our intentions and priorities will shift to address changes your body went through.

And we need to be asking “What matters most NOW to help support me to be READY for my goals?”.

Where you hurt matters, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story.

This runner came in with persistent pain along the outside of his upper calf that started after adding sprinting back into his training.

After weeks of stretching, massage, and rest, he still couldn’t run without pain.

The key was figuring out what reproduced his symptoms, what wasn’t reproducing them, and how his symptoms responded to load.

Once we had a better understanding of what was contributing, the goal was progressively rebuilding his capacity for the things he wanted to get back to.

Now he’s running again.

Persistent pain doesn’t necessarily mean you need more rest. Sometimes you need a better understanding of what to load and how to load it.

🏃 If pain is keeping you from running, lifting, or doing the things you enjoy, we can help you figure out what’s going on and build a plan forward.
