The Chops Shop offers individualized lessons and strategies for musicians to perform more efficiently and execute music more confidently.
Lessons are taught both online and in person via one-on-one and group clinic formats. My name is Dion Tucker. I am a professional jazz trombonist based in NYC. After developing embouchure dystonia in 2019 and spending months training and rehabilitating my "chops", I decided to start The Chops Shop---a platform where strategies are provided for brass players to avoid embouchure misuse and overuse, and to share techniques with other musicians to enhance their musical abilities. I provide individualized lessons and methods for musicians to perform more efficiently and execute music more confidently. Lessons are taught online via www.thechops-shop.com and in person through one-on-one and group clinic formats. The Chops Shop is the place to learn and discuss different approaches to playing your instrument as well as how those same concepts can be applied to improvisation, solo performances and having a healthier mental approach to playing music. Visit www.youtube.com/c/TheChopsShop for instructional videos and performance tips.

Conn Constellation for sale! This is one of the most versatile trombones ever made for commercial playing. Iām selling this gem of a horn simply because itās not being played. It plays like a 9/10. The slide works great 8/10 and there are no major dents on the horn. There is some wear and lacquer loss on various parts of the slide and bell section. Thatās to be expected on a vintage instrument. A barley used Pro Pac trombone case will be included. Buyer pays for the shipping. This wonāt last long, send me a PM if youāre interested.

What an incredible experience it was to play with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall. They sound incredible! It was also great to meet two gentleman I really admire in the classical trombone world, Toby Oft and James Markey. What an honor to share the stage with trombonists of their caliber. Of course Harry Connick Jr, wrote some incredible orchestral arrangements to put the icing on the cake. Iām so grateful for the opportunity to consistently do what I love. šš¾š
