Reiner Heidorn is a German painter with a focus on freshwater microorganisms, plants, and chlorophyll. Using his own technique, he translates the pointillism of microscope photographs into abstract expressionism. He also collects natural materials and uses leaves, twigs, and blossoms as print templates for his abstract, botanical pictorial spaces.

Reiner Heidorn has collected old school maps and paints them over, including maps from the N**i regime. In doing so, he aims to keep historical memory alive and take a stand against denial.

The schoolmaps’ erased borders and re-coded place-names evoke questions of jurisdiction and education. Overlaying botanical-water motifs transforms these surfaces into a lagoon-like field where memory can flow and refract light.

Sandy Solomon’s book, PEARS, LAKE, SUN, which received the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press, was published simultaneously in the UK by Peterloo Poets. Her work has appeared in various magazines and journals in the US and the UK, including, in the last few years, The New Yorker, Plume, Scientific American, Kenyon Review, Harvard Review, Hopkins Review, and Vox Populi. Two of her poems were published in A Century of Poetry in The New Yorker, 1925-2025. She divides her time between Nashville (she taught in Vanderbilt’s Creative Writing Program) and Suffolk, England.

Linda Scacco is a semi-retired psychologist who loves stories about family, connections, and resilience. She loves to write, swim, and make soup, and can be found at the gym every morning. Her previously published works include a book for children called ALWAYS MY GRANDPA: A STORY FOR CHILDREN DEALING WITH ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE (Magination Press, 2005). She has also published several poems, short stories and some op-ed pieces related to gender and parenting.
