Gutturnio Superiore is here and it’s probably my new favorite thing. This is just damn good wine plain and simple. Nice dark fruit, a bit of earthiness and balance. It’s the simple things that get us excited and Mariolina has executed this 2023 vintage to perfection. You will love this wine!!!

Fer Lu is back baby! This is an awesome summer red that can take a chill while still delivering on a serious red wine. It still shows true varietal character from who always deliver on creating wines that are truly unique

New wine alert from Regina Viarum. This is their Lunapiena, Falanghina hailing from Amalia’s dad’s little piece of land in the town of Carinola. This is slightly removed from the sea with an incredible panorama of the Appennini and nearby Roccamonfina . There is also a lot of Tufo soil here that helps deliver on salty, fruity and complex falanghina!

Pretty fired up for the arrival of Brilla a sparkling Pigato (with a dash of Erbaluce. This is made in the charmat method but it’s got champagne texture that mixes with a Ligurian breeze. This is honestly a delicious bottle of wine.

Our Grand Tasting is in less than 2 weeks. It’s Monday, April 27th at Mida in Newton from 11-3:30. We have 17 winemakers who are making the trip from Italy. That’s a lot!!
