We are excited to launch our Clean Energy Lab at Chelsea High School!

Classes started yesterday and we cannot wait to get to know our new innovators as they build their real-world skills and knowledge with us! Our classes put hands-on experience and holistic education at the center of our learning, preparing our innovators to be competitive applicants as they continue to their next steps after high school.

Our first week has been going great with various activities to engage our students while they learn our innovators mindsets. Can’t wait to see what this group will do!

Our career chat speaker to end off the summer was Joe Rowell from Power Corps!

Power Corps is a workforce development program that provides training, career readiness coaching, and networking in the green industry to Boston youth, aged 18-30 years old.

Joe presented our students with this post highschool program and answered all of their questions. We are grateful to have Joe and Power Corps as our good partners. This program is great for youth who aren’t sure about what they want to do next, and provides tangible skills and support to help them take that next step.

The green industry is growing exponentially in Massachusetts, and this program can open so many doors; all while compensating participants to ensure they can support themselves through the program. We hope our innovators take advantage of this program, and thank Joe and Power Corps for the work they do.

Last week our Innovators got a tour of Cambridge Crossing!

A community built for innovation, our students were able to learn about the process of purchasing, planning, building, and maintaining such a large project.

They learned about the management and business administration, design and building, cooling systems, maintenance and everything in between for this site from industry professionals.

It was an amazing learning experience that brought our studio concepts to life and we are so grateful for all of the work that went into this tour.

Our students have made some pretty cool designs 😎

These are some student final projects from or ACE studio. Students build typography models from scratch, including learning a design program to map out the typography. Love seeing their creativity come out while they develop new skills!
