Our Mission
To provide high quality, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary, patient and family centered care to those who live and work in Jamaica Plain and the city of Boston, regardless of ability to pay. Our Vision
*Continue to be recognized as a leader in the delivery of high quality, integrated family-oriented health care and as a model program for community-based primary care within the Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, and Partners Healthcare Systems.
*Continue to offer successful programs training practitioners in the provision of community-based, culturally appropriate health care, while still maintaining a focus on the delivery of primary care.
*Maintain a leadership role in developing programs designed to improve the health status of Jamaica Plain and the surround communities. Our Values
*Recognize the inter-relationship of clients' medical, social, emotional, and economic needs. Develop holistic service plans and provide coordinated, multi-disciplinary services to meet these needs.
*Commit to excellence. Continuously strive to provide high quality care as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible, while maintaining our overall mission to provide care for all who need it. Demonstrate a continuous ability to respond to changes in local communities and the health care environment.
*Value diversity. Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect. Strive for integrity in all our interactions.
*Provide on-going training for staff to allow them to develop their skills as fully as possible. Work to ensure growth, development, and job satisfaction for all employees.
*Build on our long history of community involvement, begun in 1970, by aggressively developing outreach, education, and school-based programs designed to improve the health of the community, with particular focus on those segments of the community that are currently under-served.
*Encourage and support the training of students from a variety of disciplines in the family model of care within the health center's primary care delivery system.

1 Million Free Diapers!
That's how many free diapers Neighborhood Villages has placed in the hands of Massachusetts families- through childcare programs, community partners, Head Start programs, and others.
A million diapers means a million moments when a parent didn't have to choose between diapers and other essentials.
Brookside is a community partner with Neighborhood Villages and when our very own, Moises Vasquez went to pick up the diaper allocation, he received the one millionth free diaper!
Congratulations Moises and thank you to Neighborhood Villages for all they do!

Happy National Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Week!
In the words of Christa Jean-Baptiste, MSN, FNP-BC, Nurse Practitioner Team Manager and Meg Cole, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Nurse Director, Brookside Community Health Center:
Please join me in celebrating National Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Week, taking place this week, September 21–25! This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of our APPs.
APPs include Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
We are grateful for the compassion, expertise, and leadership that each of our APPs brings to our patients, our teams, and our broader community. APP Week is a time to reflect on the meaningful impact of their work, strengthen our connections, and celebrate the well-deserved recognition APPs receive across the Mass General Brigham system and nationally.
We’re excited that we were able to secure the Snack Wagon for Brookside this year, which will be traveling to APP desks throughout the week.
We’re also proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of our very own, especially excited to celebrate Christy Sullivan, who will be receiving the BWH Exceptional APRN Award. Congratulations, Christy, on this well-deserved recognition! Brookside will be proudly represented at the BWH APP Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, September 23, from 5–8 PM in the Hale Atrium on the main campus to show our support for Christy.
We also want to celebrate our Family/Green Team—Anna Daren, Margaret Duddy, Katherine Sanabria, and Christy Sullivan — who were nominees for APP Team of the Year. While the award ultimately went to another team, we are incredibly proud of our Family/Green Team and grateful for the dedication, collaboration, and hard work they bring every day.
Thank you to this incredible team for all that you do each and every day. The exceptional, compassionate care you provide to our patients makes a meaningful difference in their lives, and we are so grateful for the expertise, dedication, and heart you bring to every patient and every interaction. We are incredibly proud of our APPs and all that you bring to Brookside!
