🚒🔥⛑️Boston Fire Engine 52 and the Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit were proud to participate in the Annual Sickle Cell Walk at Franklin Park, joining resource tables and organizations from across the City of Boston.

Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder that affects red blood cells and can cause severe pain, anemia, organ complications, and other serious health challenges. It disproportionately affects people of African descent, though it can occur in people from many different backgrounds.

🔥 Boston Fire is proud to be part of the community—not only responding to emergencies, but also supporting education, awareness, and healthier neighborhoods. 🚒🔥⛑️

🔥 Back to School at Madison Park! 🤖

Boston Fire Prevention was glad to be part of the Madison Park Back-to-School Fair! It was a great opportunity to connect with students and families, share important fire safety information, and help everyone start the school year safely.

It was also exciting to see students learning about coding, robotics, and technology—building skills, exploring new ideas, and preparing for the future! 🚒🔥🤖💻

🔥 Community, Safety & Education in Mattapan! 🚒

The Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit, along with Fire Commissioner Rodney Marshall, our Boston Fire Cadets, Boston Police Department (Official) , Boston EMS (Emergency Medical Services) , and other City agencies, proudly joined Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭 Open Streets in Mattapan. Our team emphasized cooking safety and shared information about our fire safety presentations for students in grades K–12. We also brought out our fire stove simulator, built by the Fire Prevention Education Unit about six years ago, to provide a hands on and engaging fire safety demonstration.

A great day of education, prevention, and connecting with the community we proudly serve! ❤️🔥

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost and the bravery shown on September 11, 2001. The Boston Fire Department stands with our fellow first responders, families, and communities across the nation as we remember the sacrifices made that day.

We will never forget the heroes who ran toward danger, the lives cut short, and the resilience that continues to inspire us all.

The Boston Fire Department, along with our fire prevention education unit, was proud to join the John D. O’Bryant School for a First Day of School Sticker Giveaway.

It was especially heartwarming to see parents dropping off their children—sharing those hugs, smiles, and sometimes that “hard to let go” moment before sending them off to start a new school year. ❤️

Throughout the summer, the Boston Fire Department Fire Prevention Education Unit was out in the community sharing important safety information. Unfortunately, we also saw fires caused by preventable hazards.

Many fires are preventable. A few simple safety steps can protect your home, your family, and your community. 🚒⛑️🔥

🔥⛑️🚒The Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit, along with Boston Fire Engine 55, joined residents at Georgetowne Homes in Hyde Park for their community BBQ! 🌭🍔

🍿We were proud to be joined by Mayor Michelle Wu, Boston Police, Age Strong, Goodwill, and a host of other community partners and vendors who came together to support and connect with Hyde Park residents.

It was a great opportunity to meet families, talk about home fire safety, answer questions, and share important information that can help keep our residents safe.

🎒🧥 BACK-TO-SCHOOL AT TD GARDEN!

The Boston Fire Department was proud to join The Salvation Army Boston Kroc Center, TD Garden, and the City of Boston for the 15th Annual Back-to-School Celebration at TD Garden.

Boston Fire Commissioner Rodney Marhall, the Boston Fire Prevention Education Unit, and our Boston Fire Cadets joined Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox, Boston EMS, and a host of other government agencies and community partners to support Boston-area families.

Thousands of students and families had the opportunity to receive backpacks, school supplies, winter coats, and other essentials to help them start the new school year prepared and ready to succeed. 🎒📚🧥🔥
