There’s something powerful about knowing your growth doesn’t have to happen alone. The people around us are learning, growing, figuring it out, and becoming too and sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement, a “you got this,” or somebody reminding you of the greatness you forgot you had.

Keep cheering for each other, keep making room for each other, and don’t be afraid to be somebody else’s reminder that they CAN do it. We’re not just becoming better by ourselves; we’re becoming better together.

And honestly… that plank challenge was more than just seeing who could hold a plank the longest. 😂💪🏾

Sometimes the biggest challenge is simply deciding to try. At the house, we challenge each other to step outside of our comfort zones, push past the “I cant” moments, and see beyond what we think is possible.

A new week is here, family! That means new opportunities to learn, grow, try something different, encourage somebody else, and discover a little more of who you are becoming. You may not have everything figured out yet and that’s okay. Keep showing up, keep pushing, and keep surprising yourself.

The Class of 2027 showed up for Senior Sunrise with friends, laughter, and a whole year ahead of them. ☀️

It is a joy to see Natalia, Gavin, Artise, Layla, Jay Jay, Armarylis, and their fellow Boston Green Academy seniors mark this moment together. We are proud to walk alongside them as Freedom House PUSH Scholars through the milestones and decisions this year will bring.

Here’s to the Class of 2027. Your senior year has begun! 🎓

Wayback Wednesday: September 2017.🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

These photos take us back to the celebration of Freedom House’s newly renovated home. I think about everyone who helped bring that day to life, and about the young people who have walked through these doors since.

It was a joy to celebrate alongside former Mayor Marty Walsh, former Freedom House CEO Katrina Shaw, former District 7 City Councilor Tito Jackson, State Representative Chynah Tyler, and Ms. Jumaada Smith, Goldenaires of the Freedom House Goldenaires.

In 2026, nine years after that reopening and 77 years after Otto and Muriel Snowden founded Freedom House, we are still here. Still opening doors for young people. Still grateful to the neighbors, partners, staff, and supporters who make this work possible.

What a legacy to carry forward. ❤️

Help us welcome Luis, as a Massachusetts Promise Fellow. While this may be a new role for Luis, he is definitely not new to Freedom House. We’ve had the privilege of watching him grow from a scholar, to a Junior Coach in Training, to a Junior Coach, and now into his next chapter as a coach at Snowden and a coach supporting PUSH Leadership Institute.

“Growth is about being willing to learn, keep showing up, and embrace every new opportunity along the way.” - CP3

Luis has done just that, and we couldn’t be more proud of the person, leader, and coach he continues to become.

Luis, we’re excited to see what this year brings. Keep learning, keep leading, keep growing, and remember that every chapter is preparing you for the next one. We already know you’re going to make this an amazing year.
