Dave Turkington spends much of his professional life exploring prediction and trying to separate signal from noise. His parallel interest in rock, jazz, and guitar relate to different kinds of signals and noise, and a constant reminder that making music is one of the most rewarding ways to experiment, create, and connect with other people.

Cel Kulasekaran is a Founding Board Member of the Boston Music Project. He believes humans are happiest when they create, a conviction that guides his personal and professional life and fuels his commitment to expanding access to music education. By day, Cel is Managing Partner and Head of Research at Windham Capital Management and Founding Partner of Cambridge Sports Analytics. For Raise the Volume, he is happily trading quantitative models for power chords.

Mark Feldman is a drummer, educator, entrepreneur, and music executive whose career spans performance, music education, and the music business. Based in Boston, he runs BANG! The Drum School, an online drumming education business he founded in 2009.

Join us for Raise the Volume on October 17th for a full-throttle rock show at Lansdowne Pub, across from Boston’s iconic Fenway Park, featuring a house band of Boston musicians, surprise guests, and Boston Music Project teaching artists. $50 gets you in the room, light bites included in the ticket price, and a cash bar. Private lessons at Hill House, taught by the Boston Music Project team, are designed for aspiring young musicians, with flexible lesson packages and 1:1 instruction tailored to meet the specific needs of each student. Link in bio for registration and more info!

This NEW (for Fall 2026) 15-week course, OPEN TO ALL provides a high level orchestra experience for string students ages 11-18, with an emphasis on social emotional development and civic engagement. Students participate in a two-hour rehearsal every Saturday, including with sectionals, leadership opportunities, and performances including a National Anthem performance at a Celtics game.

Our private lessons provide one-on-one instruction tailored to each student, open to ages 5 and up. Lessons follow the BPS calendar and are available at:
