⚽🏴 What a fantastic Game 1 of the World Cup! Now we're ready for Game 2 in tonight!
While our local Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services USA team was busy supporting and feeding our incredible emergency management partners, we had the unexpected pleasure of crossing paths with some enthusiastic Scottish fans! 🇺🇸🤝🏴
Between serving meals, sharing stories, and soaking in the excitement, it was a great reminder that community brings people together—whether you're coordinating emergency response efforts or cheering on your favorite team from across the globe.
A big thank you to our emergency management partners for all they do, and to our new Scottish friends for bringing plenty of energy, smiles, and World Cup spirit!

People are still talking about ! Earlier this month, Boston Kroc Business Operations Director & Boston EDS Rep Rob Bennett hit the road in The Salvation Army Disaster Services, Massachusetts Division Boston transit van to deliver hundreds of donuts to first responders at the Boston Fire Department, veterans, and kids at The Salvation Army's Children's Learning Center in Dorchester. The amazing events team at the Kroc hosted their annual Drive-Thru Donut Distribution while our Sensational Seniors were treated to donut decorating and a history lesson about Donut Day's ties to The Salvation Army USA. We are so grateful to our friends at the Walpole Community Food Pantry for helping us secure donut donations from Entenmann's! We can't wait until next year!

One call to The Salvation Army changed everything. When Barbara couldn’t keep up with her $1,000 electric bill, help came through the Energy Fund. With $400 in support, she avoided a shutoff and found stability. If you're facing hardship, don’t wait—see if you qualify. magoodneighbor.org

Senior Prom isn't just for high schoolers! Our active older adults at The Salvation Army Boston Kroc were looking good as they joined in on the fun this prom season. The group dressed up and enjoyed fun, photos, and more! Their theme was Harlem Nights.
This week, we joined the City of Boston in recognizing fallen firefighter Robert "BK" Kilduff Jr. from the Boston Fire Department. BK lost his life while fighting a fire in our Dorchester community. Our hearts are with the Kilduff family and everyone who knew him. Members of the Boston Fire Department go beyond putting their lives on the line each day to protect our neighbors. They've also played an instrumental role in giving back to help here at the Boston Kroc in their spare time. We were honored to have the opportunity to support them in return.
