Dont you love a late night practice session
Scariest moment for a jazz vocalist!
We’re very excited to bring our quartet to Ravenscroft in Scottsdale, AZ on Friday the 11th of September at 7 pm 🎶
It’s strongly recommended that you get your tickets in advance ✨ here’s the link:

“Yardbird suite"
This may be our favorite Charlie Parker tune! What's yours? Please don't say
"Donna Lee" or you'll start a whole thing lol
“Exactly like you” written by Jimmy McHugh and lyrics by Dorothy Fields ✨
For an almost 100 year old song, we certainly agree with almost every single lyric 🫶
I have a whole list of jazz tunes that have archaic or just straight up odd lyrics and thereby did not age well. should we share some covers from that list? One song is “green dolphin street” ….worst lyrics ever 😂 it’s just a million prepositions.
What tune do you think has lyrics that are just as perfect today as the day they were written?
Here’s the intro of our song “kaleidoscope”

Only 3 spots left!
Classes run for about 90 minutes and require about 3 hours of work outside of the class! It is, after all, intensive. :) + I promise you will have enough materials and tools from the class to strategize your practice routine for the next year.
Meeting times:
Sunday August 2nd, Monday August 10th, Sunday August 16 and Sunday August 23 at 1 PM EST.
Dm me any questions you might have! Also, I have a few spots open for new students in August - so feel free to dm me about that as well. + I am teaching in person in NYC on Friday 7/31 and have 2 one hours long lesson spots open.
I’ve been obsessed with the “12 nights in Hollywood” Ella Fitzgerald record and this solo on “stompin’ at the savoy” from thereis just so good! She takes one solo right after singing the head, then she sings the head again, and then she dives into another long but absolutely incredible solo! This is an excerpt from that first solo. Let me know if you’d like the transcription 🎶
