It is with special 35ONELove that we celebrate Eneida Román, President & CEO, We Are ALX, whose ferocity of belief in young people uplifts our 35ONE family.

This is a particularly joyful time as we honor Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration of the rich cultures and profound contributions of Hispanics and Latinos. Last week, We are ALX, demonstrated just that with the announcement of their annual ALX100 list -- 100 visionary Latino leaders shaping every facet of the Commonwealth's economic, cultural, and civic sectors.

We're inspired by the pride of Nirelis Aponte-Garcia, AMC, Holden who leads the Eneida Roman Service Hero Team Leader and we predict -- a future ALX100! "Hispanic Heritage Month embodies our diversity as Latinos, the rich histories and cultures which has created the vivid community we are today! We're a community in solidarity and in support of one another. In the challenging time for our nation, we must never lose our identity and -- more than ever -- join together as one!"

On Friday and with reverence and love, we honored a day of heartbreak with peaceful remembrance, transformative service, and an affirmation that we will never forget.

Our day was made more meaningful by the engagement of Governor Maura Healey, First Partner Joanna Lydgate, Governor Deval Patrick (our beloved co-founder), Ambassador Vicki Kennedy, Senator Edward J. Markey, and Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley. Led by our Ambassadors and Alumni and in partnership with Home Base, we created 1,250 care packages for our troops and veterans.

A 35ONE truism, it takes a community to build a community! We are indebted to Arbella Insurance Foundation, Eastern Bank Foundation, North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund, Martin Richard Foundation, Hope & Comfort, Mahoney's Garden Centers, WBZ / CBS News Boston, and our 35ONE family of Ambassadors, Alumni, Leadership Team, and volunteers for their compassion and conviction.

Tribute Service is done, but our work continues...powered by our ambition for a more just, compassionate, and united Commonwealth; and any effort that honors our shared humanity.

This evening marks the third and final night of Rosh Hashanah, a holy time for reflection and celebration of the Jewish New Year.

Over the last two days, our friends and families of Jewish faith have marked the new year in prayer, community gatherings, and symbolic traditions.

We wish L'Shana Tova to all who celebrate! And send our warmest wishes for a sweet new year abundant with joy and peace!

25 years after 9/11 attacks, new generation keeps spirit of service alive As the nation marks 25 years since the 9/11 attacks, Project 351 in Massachusetts is encouraging a new generation to honor the day through service. WBZ's Paul Burton reports.

Since our founding 16 years ago, Ambassadors lead 9.11 Tribute Service to honor and remember the loved ones killed in the September 11th terrorist attacks. We serve to ensure that a world defined by love, compassion, and unity is the legacy of those we loved and lost; and as an affirmation that we will never forget.

In this 25th year of remembrance, we created a special video to tribute the 206 loved ones from Massachusetts. Faith and cultural traditions encourage us to speak the name of a loved one as a way to honor their humanity and safeguard their memory.

We're honored to be joined in this tribute by Governor Healey, Lt. Gov Driscoll, members of our Congressional delegation, and representatives of our major sports teams. We are grateful to our dear friends Dave Ells and Dan Stevens at In the Car for the beauty of their artistry.

We invite you to take a few quiet moments with this remembrance and then join us -- from wherever you are -- for the National Moment of Silence at 8:46 am.

As the sun sets, our 9.11 Tribute Service team prepares to honor and remember through service and ceremonies across the Commonwealth and on the Kennedy Greenway in Boston.

With reverence and love, we will pay special tribute to the 206 victims with Massachusetts roots. Our mission is forthright -- to ensure their legacy is a world defined by unity, compassion, and love. And to affirm that we will never forget.

The stories of inspiration are everywhere, including at Ground Zero in New York where our Service Hero Lisa Hughes of WBZ / CBS News Boston joins "Beyond the Bike" and an amazing community of riders on a journey from the 9.11 Memorial to Needham.

“Beyond the Bike” raises funds for Beyond the 11th, which empowers widows in Afghanistan who have been afflicted by war, terrorism, and oppression. Their work centers on empowerment—supporting women through job training, literacy, and economic development.

Founded by Susan Retik and Patti Quigley, two extraordinary changemakers who lost their husbands on 9.11. Beyond the 11th's mission is one of hope, resilience, and opportunity for Afghan widows.

Twenty-five years after 9.11, it is the love that endures.

On Labor Day, we express gratitude to all who invest heart, hands, and minds to make our communities and nation great.

We offer special appreciation to those who labor with dignity and fortitude on behalf of children. Educators, non-profit visionaries, civic leaders, policy makers, private sector champions, parents and guardians, and professionals who advocate, lead, and work tirelessly to ensure that every child can achieve their unlimited potential.

We wish them and every one, a very Happy Labor Day!

As we prepare for Friday's day of service and remembrance, we dedicate this to The Bavis Family and in loving memory of Mark, their beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin. On September 11th, Mark was a passenger on United Flight 175, when it was hijacked by terrorists and flown into the World Trade Center.

Twenty-five years later, the loss remains incalculable for the Bavis family and Mark’s legion of friends. Their enduring love expressed through The Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation, which awards college scholarships for students who share Mark’s dedication as leader, difference-maker, and good and loyal friend.

Their efforts include an educational curriculum to ensure the tragic events of September 11th are taught in Massachusetts’ public schools. An educational mission to build the knowledge to ensure “never again” and as a tribute to the 206 loved ones lost from Massachusetts whom we will never forget.

As we honor and remember those lost on September 11th, we carry the Bavis family -- and all of the 206 families -- in our hearts. In response to greatest loss, they've forged hope, unity, and opportunity in their loved one's memory. We are in awe of their devotion and love.
