On Saturday, July 25, the Jackson Square Neighborhood Association officially launched at the newly renovated Anna Mae Cole Center, marking an exciting new chapter for the neighborhood.

The JSNA is dedicated to bringing together residents of all ages to strengthen neighborhood leadership, advance housing affordability, promote equitable development, and continue building a safer, more connected Jackson Square.

The event was filled with joy, excitement, and a strong sense of community. It was clear that everyone shared hope for the future of Jackson Square. Most importantly, the event reaffirmed that the Jackson Square Neighborhood Association is committed to including the voices of those who have long felt underrepresented, so they may build a more inclusive community.

Noir Culture is excited to launch its first youth program, Girls Who Build Workshop, in collaboration with Senator Liz Miranda.

Building community, one conversation at a time!

JPNDC's Community Organizing team worked with the incredible youth from Hyde Square Task Force to get the word out about the new Jackson Square Neighborhood Association Together we canvassed the neighborhood, connected with residents, and shared how neighbors can get involved in making Jackson Square an even stronger community.

The Jackson Square Neighborhood Association (JSNA) is officially launching THIS SATURDAY, JULY 25, at the newly renovated Anna Mae Cole Center.

The JSNA will bring together residents of all ages to strengthen neighborhood leadership, advance housing affordability, promote equitable development, and continue building a safer, more connected Jackson Square.

JPNDC is deeply grateful to Senator Mike Rush and Representative Sam Montaño for sponsoring an amendment in the FY27 Senate and House budgets respectively, helping us to secure $100,000 for JPNDC's Micro-to-Small Business Services program in the FY27 budget signed by Governor Healey last week.

This critical investment strengthens our ability to provide bilingual technical assistance, financial coaching, business education workshops, and access to affordable capital to local businesses. Support like this ensures that all businesses, including pre-bankable ones, have access to the tools, resources, and guidance they need to launch, grow, and scale.

Our 2025 Annual Report is here! Here are some of our major milestones and accomplishments from last year:

We celebrated major housing milestones with the completion of Brookley Flats (45 affordable condominiums for first-time homebuyers), continued progress on 3371 Washington Street (39 units of affordable senior housing), and the groundbreaking of Cheney Homes (48 affordable, service-enriched housing designed to help low-income seniors).

Our Family Childcare Services reached a record 933 children through our network of 115 home-based educators, supported by 15 transportation vehicles that help families balance work, school, and childcare.

Through our Family Mobility Services, 483 community members received personalized financial and career coaching, while 296 residents in our Resident Advocacy, Mobility and Wellness Pathways (RAMWP) program accessed stabilization services, job training, financial coaching, and other essential supports.

We relaunched out Micro-to-Small Business Services by hiring new staff to empower local entrepreneurs, and our Community Organizing team regularly brought Jackson Square residents together to advocate for affordable housing and economic justice, including during events like our Legislative Breakfast, MACDC Lobby Day, and the JS LOVS safety campaign.
