Last Friday, David Hacin was named Architect of the Year at the annual IFDA New England Awards Gala. Our team also received Best Modern Residential Architecture for our Back Bay Pied-a-Terre project and Best Retail Interior Design for Old Silver's Provisions . We're so honored to be recognized by this vibrant organization and celebrate with our peers across the industry. Hacin recently completed an interior refresh of the in Rockport, MA, updating all common spaces including the lobby, stairways and circulation, public restrooms, artist green room, and fourth floor reception hall.

Color variations and organic striations of rocks from the nearby Cape Ann harbor provided palette inspiration - the use of these tones layered color throughout the building, combining cool shades of water and granite with warm accents representing sand and minerals.

Nestled near the Boston Public Garden, a private residence juxtaposes the building's historic context and traditional shell with a contemporary concept, leaning into graphic lighting, contemporary furniture, and textural stone. Nina Jade Batucan, our newest co-op, Kayleigh Therriault, joining our interiors practice, and Michael Chmiel, joining our architecture practice, have all began their time at Hacin recently and we're thrilled to have new faces joining us on our projects!

150 Camden at Douglass Park is a 44-unit apartment building located in the Lower Roxbury Neighborhood of Boston, built on a vacant lot by . Hacin's architecture and commercial interiors teams designed the full building, turning a hospitality lens towards the lobby, circulation, and common areas to create design-forward spaces where material, light, and detail work together to welcome residents.

In the kitchen of a coastal Chatham home, handmade ceramic tiles from were meticulously arranged, positioning their irregular patterning in the coffee bar, cabinetry, and counter backsplash. Made with clay sourced from the company's wild clay pit in Philadelphia and part of a limited run, these tiles bear the mark of the hands who made them, offering a unique and tactile addition to this home made for memories and gathering.

Hacin and its principals are proud to announce the promotion of Srishti Goyal to Associate!

Since originally joining the firm as a co-op in 2016 and subsequently returning fulltime after her graduation from , she has contributed to numerous award-winning projects for the firm, including Iron Works South Boston, 55 Brighton, the Whitney Hotel, and Sea Crest Beach Resort. In addition to her project work, Srishti has shaped firm culture through her involvement in the studio's internship committee, mentoring emerging designers and fostering meaningful learning experiences for those entering the profession.
