Actively Moving Forward (AMF) at BU aims to provide support for college students grieving the death AMF at BU is part of a national network!

Actively Moving Forward at BU (AMF) was a formal student group at BU that consisted of a peer-led support service group - biweekly meetings for students coping the loss or illness of a loved one as well as a service group open to all students to fight back against terminal illnesses in honor of loved ones. AMF is about acknowledging and accepting some of life's greatest hardships, specifically losing a loved one. AMF was founded in May 2006 at Georgetown University by David Fajgenbaum. Currently there are 44 chapters nationwide with over 34 in development! 35-48% of college students lose a family member or close friend each year- the goal of AMF is to connect and empower these students through a safe and fun environment.
