Kumba Meals More than a meal.

Kumba Meals provides critical hunger relief while helping families break free from the cycle of deprivation and scarcity, enabling them to prioritize essential needs like rent, medicine, and school supplies over immediate hunger. Both immediate meals and ongoing support are vital in ensuring families aren't perpetually threatened by starvation.

This stability fosters enduring transformation. When families consistently receive therapeutic meals, parents are relieved of the fear of starvation and stunted growth for their children, and they no longer have to sacrifice meals to sustain them. With wholesome food provided at school, students develop physical strength and improved focus in class. As communities revitalize local food sources through sustainable gardening practices, agricultural inputs, and capacity-building initiatives, alongside enhanced school kitchen programs, families become more self-sufficient. Consequently, your support addresses immediate hunger needs while promoting sustainable community growth, restoring dignity in the present and empowering families to build resilience for the future.

Your gift will help provide:

• Nutritious meals—warm food that nourishes the body and restores health

• Emergency groceries for children’s homes struggling to keep up with rising costs

• Life-saving formula for infants and toddlers abandoned or orphaned

• Food security support for children facing long-term hunger

Congratulations to Mayor Joar Dahn of Darby Borough, Pennsylvania. “As a Liberian refugee and lifelong Darby resident, this moment means so much — not just to me, but to everyone who believes in the future of our borough.

Thank you to the voters, volunteers, mentors, friends, and neighbors who made this possible. This campaign was never about one person. It was about us, about community, and about believing that better is possible.

To my team and everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart, thank you. I’ll never forget it.

The future of Darby is bright. I look forward to working with Borough Council and all of you to move Darby forward together.”
