U.S. equity markets are moving toward a nearly continuous trading day. Is your organization ready for what that means beyond the trading desk?
With 23×5 trading expected to begin December 6, 2026, firms will need to make important business decisions about how and when they participate, which clients and markets they support, and how they manage risk when liquidity looks very different overnight.
Those decisions also come with significant technology implications. Trading platforms, market data, risk and credit controls, surveillance, infrastructure, and operational support must be prepared to function reliably across an extended market day.
For buy-side firms, broker-dealers, and sell-side organizations, 23×5 is not simply about extending trading hours. It requires the business, technology, and operating model to be ready together.
In our latest article, MILL5 explores the key considerations business and technology leaders should be evaluating as the industry prepares for this shift.
Read the full article below to learn what your organization should be considering now.

This past weekend, members of the MILL5 team in Medellín came together to participate in Carrera de las Rosas, an annual race dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
For our team, participating is about much more than crossing the finish line. It is an opportunity to support an important cause, honor and remember loved ones affected by breast cancer, and stand alongside the many individuals and families whose lives have been touched by the disease.
We are proud of everyone from MILL5 who joined thousands of participants to run with purpose and show their support.

AI slop is not just a content quality problem. In production environments, it can be a warning sign that AI is scaling faster than an organization can effectively govern, monitor, and improve it.
As prompts, retrieval pipelines, source data, integrations, and business conditions change, AI performance can change with them. Without continuous evaluation and observability, issues like poor retrieval, hallucinations, outdated responses, and declining accuracy can quietly become operational risks.
In this article, MILL5 explores what AI slop reveals about production AI, how drift can affect RAG and other enterprise AI systems, and five priorities technology leaders should consider to keep AI reliable as adoption scales.
Continue reading to learn how organizations can strengthen AI governance, observability, and accountability while protecting the business value of their AI investments.

A question worth asking at your next service review: Is our technology organization better because this partner is here?
SLA attainment, ticket volume, and response time are all measurable, and none of them answer it. An environment can be well supported and still grow more expensive, more fragile, and harder to change.
Five questions that get closer to the answer, in our latest article:
- Does your partner find opportunities before you ask?
- Is the environment measurably better than it was six months ago?
- Can they bring the right expertise as the problem changes?
- Is the relationship creating capacity for your team?
- Can they connect operational activity to outcomes that matter?
The full article works through what a strong answer to each question looks like, so you have a practical framework for assessing the partners you already work with and evaluating the ones you are considering. Continue reading below.
