Conveniently located next to the Ashmont station, Chris Douglass’ Tavolo Restorante offers up something we like to call “Dorchester Italian”. Centering the space is a large family-style tavolo (or table) that embodies our casual, down home approach to food and fare. The menu features a range of both large and small plates that include classic Italian specialties, artisan pizzas and chef inspired hand-made creations. The bar has become a “Dot” go-to favorite, serving up a diverse program of fresh cocktails, craft beers and worldly wines. And there’s always something new going on. What. A. Day. Hours of swimming the tropical water of Nantasket (a true gift!), crushing seltzers, trying to help a injured double crested cormorant, Kan Jam and corn hole battles, laughing, grilling and watching a spectacular sunset. People first. Always. ❤️👊🌞
