Hugo & Hoby began with a simple mission – to make beautiful, locally crafted, and sustainable furniture more widely accessible. We hope you'll join us!
Inspired by our grandfathers, Hugo Kukelhaus and Hoby Young, both designers, crafters, and environmentalists, we set out to make modern, handcrafted furnishings that would last a lifetime. We've partnered with our country's best craftspeople, from Maine to Appalachia, who build each piece with care and love. Our goal is to celebrate these talented craftspeople, tell the stories of the unique places where each piece is made, and help brands - including hotels, restaurants, offices and developers - reinforce their unique mission and style through their furnishings.

We are proud to be part of this community of small, local business owners. Our fabrication partners are proudly 100% independently owned. Through our work over the years, we have provided over 50,000 hours of employment hours to over 75 of our partner fabrication shops. In addition, through our work on these projects, we will have planted over 75,000 trees in at-risk forests in the region.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you, our clients, suppliers, and supporters for helping us in our journey and promise to continue honoring this community.

We are happy to introduce our new item in the Hugo & Hoby standard collection these beautiful conference tables.
The tables are handmade locally from sustainable and high-quality hardwoods to ensure a beautiful and long-lasting design in any commercial environment. To ensure that the table would fit anyone’s needs, we provid several design choices (table bases, wood species, powdercoat colors, power options, etc.) to create a table that is both cost effective and versatile in a wide range of commercial spaces.
In addition to using 100% sustainable materials and packaging, for each conference table purchased we plant 100 trees in local at-risk forests and create 20 hours of local employment. Every desk comes with a certificate of impact, lead times are as short as 8 weeks.

After five great years of designing custom made furniture are happy to introduce the first product in the Hugo and Hoby Standard Collection. This collection will introduce beautiful pre-designed sustainable furniture with shorter lead times.
The first product for this collection is this desk that fits the office and home environment. Each desk is made from urban salvaged wood and is offered either in black walnut, white oak or spalted maple.
In addition to using 100% sustainable materials and packaging, for each desk purchased we plant 100 trees in local at-risk forests and create 20 hours of local employment. Every desk comes with a certificate of impact, lead times are as short as 8 weeks.
