The remnants of the past are not just uncovered; what would they signify? The concept of a distinct material archive inherited from the past, from which meaning might be extracted, has vanished. Archaeology should consider itself as a practice. Archaeologists engage with tangible remnants and evidence to construct a representation—be it a meaning, narrative, or image—that signifies the past in contemporary terms. Archaeology represents our connection to history: it involves a process of engaging with bygone eras. In a kind of speaking, archaeology is an activity that we all engage in regularly.
The objective of this course is to transform a previous endeavor into a current reality. When performing a theatrical piece, you selectively emphasize certain interpretations while disregarding others.
