Our psychiatry residency training program gives physicians-in-training the opportunity to care for patients in a range of clinical settings while building long-term relationships through continuity of care clinics. These clinics allow residents to follow patients over time and learn from their experiences.

“That’s really the core mission,” says David Adler, MD, Senior Psychiatrist at Tufts Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.

A kidney transplant replaces the work of failing kidneys with a healthy donor kidney, helping the body remove waste and excess fluid and regulate blood pressure.

Unlike other organ transplants, the original kidneys usually remain in place. The new kidney is placed in the lower abdomen, near the pelvis and bladder, explains Phillipe Abreu, MD, PhD, FACS, Director of Robotic Transplantation at Tufts Medical Center and Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.

We’re proud to announce the Common Good Society, Tufts Medicine's new legacy giving program.

Planned giving is a meaningful way to ensure that the care and compassion you or a loved one has experienced at Tufts Medical Center continues for generations to come, while providing for the people and priorities closest to your heart.

A planned gift can transform care. Harvey and Tina Crosby are longtime supporters of Tufts Medical Center who wanted to make a bigger impact. After Harvey was treated for a rare blood disease, they made a bequest to support cancer care and research at Tufts MC. Their generosity will help save the lives of future patients through tomorrow's cutting-edge care.

In 1796, Bostonians including Paul Revere and Samuel Adams helped establish the Boston Dispensary, which would become Tufts Medical Center. Their vision was groundbreaking: make medical care available to those who needed it most.

More than 230 years later, that vision still guides our commitment to caring for the community. We remain rooted in history and driven by innovation. tuftsmedicine.org/tuftsmc230
