What if the hold-up is there for a reason?
Sometimes we think that if something isn’t happening, it means we’ve done something wrong. The house falls through. The job doesn’t work out. The relationship never gets off the ground.
But what if the hold-up is actually working in your favor?
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that not everything that’s delayed is being denied. Some things need more time. Some things aren’t right for you. And sometimes the Universe is protecting you from something you can’t see yet.
Trusting the Universe isn’t about pretending you’re okay when things don’t go your way. It’s about being willing to believe that there’s something unfolding on your behalf, even when you don’t have all the answers.
The next time something doesn’t happen on your timeline, try this prayer:
“Thank you for this delay. Show me what I’m not seeing yet.”
That prayer can shift you out of fear and back into trust.

Deep thoughts...

You can feel the difference between forcing and flowing.
One leaves you anxious, exhausted, and disconnected from yourself.
The other feels grounded, clear, and supported.
Your body often knows before your minds catches up.

You don’t have to chase the miracle.
You have to create space for it.
So much of manifestation is not about forcing.
It’s about softening.
Releasing control.
Making your nervous system feel safe enough to receive.
The miracle can meet you more easily when you stop gripping so tightly.
I’m teaching this deeply inside my 21-Day Abundance Challenge at deargabby.com/abundancechallenge
Early in my career I made the leap from running a nightlife PR business to becoming a full-time spiritual author and speaker. But I kept one client. They covered my bills, and I told myself that was just being responsible.
The truth is, I was praying for a new career while holding onto the old one.
Then I delivered the best month I'd ever had for that client. I got them TONS of major PR placements. And at the end of it they said, "We don't know why, but we have to let you go."
That call put me on the path I've been on for twenty years.
Here's what I've learned since: the setback that scares you most is often the redirection you need. If you've been laid off or you're in a role that's not serving you, consider it a redirection.
The practice is learning to trust that rejection is redirection, and that when there's a holdup, it's for a reason. Shifting your mindset can create powerful momentum as you transition your career and up-level your purpose.
My 21-Day Abundance Challenge is a daily practice for exactly this season: releasing the grip, rebuilding trust, and attuning to what's next. If that's where you are, all the info is in the comments.

Your body knows before your mind catches up.
Read that again.
Save this for the moments you’re tempted to ignore your intuition. ✨

Why do we feel like we have to earn rest, love, abundance, or support?
So many of us were taught that receiving only comes after overworking, over-giving, or proving ourselves. But that belief keeps the nervous system stuck in survival mode.
Real abundance begins when your body starts to feel safe receiving.
Not constantly trying to prove your worth.
Your energy changes when you stop believing everything good has to be earned through struggle.
That’s one of the biggest themes I’m teaching inside my 21-Day Abundance Challenge — how to shift from fear and over-efforting into alignment, openness, and receiving.

Some reminders I’ve been coming back to lately.
Which one speaks to you most right now?

Dear Universe,
remove what no longer aligns and guide me toward what does.
Sometimes the most powerful prayer isn’t “give me more.”
It’s “clear the path.”
Trust the redirection.
Even when you don’t fully understand it yet.
