Many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) want to work. Despite higher rates of unemployment and underemployment in this population, the outlook is promising: More than 20% of people who are unemployed or underemployed are actively participating in classes, training, or skill-building activities to improve their employment opportunities.
