Successful patient recruitment takes more than reaching the right audience. It takes a strategy that works from the first touch point through referral.
At Stark Raving Health, our end-to-end approach brings together strategic planning, patient-centric creative, precision media targeting and real-time performance reporting — all focused on delivering prequalified patients to clinical trials.
Our latest showcase offers a look at how those pieces work together to turn enrollment challenges into achievable recruitment goals—from developing accessible creative that motivates candidates to begin screening to using performance data to continually optimize campaigns.
See how we approach patient recruitment from strategy through performance.

How do you recruit an older population for a global clinical trial when they’ve traditionally been harder to reach through digital channels?
For a vaccine study targeting serious urinary tract infections in adults over 60, we used culturally sensitive messaging, authentic representation, adaptive targeting, and ongoing optimization to drive qualified referrals across multiple continents.
The result? A campaign that doubled the Sponsor’s expectations.
Read the case study to see how a flexible global strategy helped bridge the digital divide and deliver measurable results.

A click isn’t a patient. And an impression isn’t an enrollment.
Digital campaigns give clinical trial recruitment teams access to more data than ever — but the easiest metrics to measure aren’t always the ones that matter most.
In our latest blog, “Measuring What Matters: KPIs Beyond Clicks and Impressions,” we look beyond surface-level media metrics to explore how recruitment campaigns should be evaluated against what really counts: reaching qualified candidates and moving them successfully through the recruitment process.
Because thousands of clicks may look great on a report. But if they aren’t helping connect the right patients with a study, what are they really telling us?

Recruiting for a clinical trial can be complicated. When participation also requires genetic testing, clear communication becomes even more important.
For this Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating an investigational drug for people with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) with specific gene variants, our campaign addressed a key challenge: helping potential participants understand and navigate a multi-step enrollment process that included genotyping.
We developed a study toolkit designed to support both participants and sites with clear, accessible education at every stage — from genotyping through study visits.
Explore our latest Clinical Trial Marketing Campaign Showcase to see how thoughtful creative and educational resources helped make a complex study easier to understand and navigate.

National Sickle Cell Awareness Month
Behind every diagnosis is a patient, a family, and a community impacted by the challenges of living with a chronic condition. During National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, we recognize the millions affected by sickle cell disease, as well as the researchers, clinicians, caregivers, and advocates working to advance treatment options and improve quality of life.
At Stark Raving Health, we’re proud to support this progress by developing patient recruitment campaigns that help connect eligible patients with clinical research opportunities.

Recruiting for rare disease clinical trials requires a strategy built around precision, innovation, and a deep understanding of the patient journey.
Our latest case study explores how we helped support a Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD) clinical trial recruitment campaign by implementing a dynamic media strategy designed to reach a highly specialized audience across 17 countries and 26 languages.
With a limited patient population, complex regulatory considerations, and evolving platform restrictions, the challenge was clear: connect eligible patients and healthcare providers with an opportunity to participate in critical research.
Through targeted media planning, multilingual outreach, and data-driven optimization, we helped create a global recruitment strategy designed to increase awareness and support enrollment for an investigational GvHD prevention treatment.
Every participant in rare disease research represents a meaningful opportunity to advance scientific understanding and bring new possibilities to patients in need.
Read the full case study to learn how strategic media can help overcome the unique challenges of rare disease clinical trial recruitment.

Primary Biliary Cholangitis Clinical Trial
Recruiting for a rare disease is challenging. Recruiting patients with moderate-to-severe disease who have already undergone initial treatment narrows the field even further.
That was the challenge behind a clinical trial for Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), a rare condition affecting approximately 1 in 3,000 people.
To reach this highly specific patient population, we developed a compassionate, educational recruitment toolkit grounded in a deep understanding of the PBC patient profile. The creative needed to do more than generate awareness—it had to communicate clearly and sensitively with potential participants while also giving study sites the tools they needed to support recruitment.
Our latest showcase takes you inside the campaign, highlighting the messaging, creative approach, and materials developed to help connect the right patients with this important research opportunity.
