In elections, close doesn’t cut it!
Coming in 136 votes behind the second place vote getter means that our campaign to represent the 1st LD will not make it to the general election.
Thank you to all the voters, donors, volunteers, endorsers and organizations who showed up and believed in our vision for a more affordable, inclusive and equitable Washington state.
In November, please vote for the candidate that best aligns with a democratic future for our community and do not give up on calling on our elected representatives to lead on the biggest issues facing our communities.
Universal healthcare is a public safety issue and if we are serious about preventing poverty and homelessness and ending addiction, please keep calling on our leaders to support a statewide universal healthcare system. If we ever want it at the federal level, we will need to prove at the state level it works and is possible in America.
Please know that I will continue my service to the City of Bothell and advocating for the issues that impact our communities, especially around behavioral health and housing affordability.

The early vote tallies in this race are disappointing but the progressive shift is a common phenomenon as more votes are counted. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s drop to see if things change. By Friday, we’ll have a better idea if Team Jenne is going to the General.
The Friday after elections is called Bounce Night for a reason, which is why the team is throwing a Bounce Night Party on the 7th to watch how the percentages change over time.
If you believe in this campaign, I hope you will join us at Willard Art and Frame on Bothell’s Main Street at 6:30 pm on Friday August 7.

I am honored to receive this endorsement from Americans 4 Hindus. Our community is stronger because of the diversity of cultures, nationalities and traditions of people living in our legislative district.
Celebrating the Hindu community through cultural celebrations like Holi and Diwali has been a special joy. I am grateful to serve alongside Hindu community leaders and for the clients and families I have worked with over the years.
