Things are about to get a little short-legged and highly competitive at the 2026 Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Races! 😂🏁

Join NorthShore Rotary on Saturday, September 19 at Saint Edward State Park in Kenmore for an afternoon of racing, cheering, community, and some very determined dachshunds—also known as wiener dogs! We’re also inviting the adorable wiener wanna-bees to join in the fun! 🐶

🏁 Races begin at 1:00 PM
🐶 Heats approximately every 20 minutes
🏆 And yes… there will be a FINAL race to crown our 2026 Wiener Dog Champion!

This is one of those events that reminds me why I love being part of Rotary. We get to bring people together, have a whole lot of fun, and at the same time raise support for the organizations and projects that make our community stronger.

So bring the family, bring your friends, bring your loudest cheering voice—and prepare to witness some serious athleticism happening about four inches off the ground. 😂🐾

On Tuesday, Northshore Rotary Club enjoyed a fun and engaging meeting with Scott Parker, President of the Newberg, Oregon Rotary Club and founder of Scott Parker Leadership.

Scott led us through some fun, interactive activities that demonstrated how stronger teams are built through better communication, collaboration, and connection.

Scott brings such a fun and unique approach to leadership. He is an educator, leadership and team-building facilitator, and award-winning comedy performer with a Master’s Degree in Education. He has trained in improv with the legendary Second City and has led workshops for organizations including Shell Oil, PepsiCo, Edward Jones, and Comcast.

Scott combines laughter, learning, leadership, communication, and connection to help teams become stronger—which sounds like a perfect fit for Rotary! 🙌

🎬🍿 What a fun Friday Movie Night!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support us! Our NorthShore Rotarians had such a great time connecting with our community, spreading the word about Rotary, serving up some goodies, and enjoying one more wonderful summer evening together. 💙💛

We are especially grateful to the City of Bothell for allowing NorthShore Rotary to host the concession stand throughout the summer. Every purchase helps us raise funds that go right back into supporting our local community projects, scholarships, and service initiatives.
