**The work of the NSEA Bargaining Team goes far beyond the bargaining table.**

For months, team members review survey data, meet with constituent groups, develop proposals, and analyze district proposals, all to fight for the contract our members deserve.

Over the next few days, bargaining team members will share why they dedicate so much time and energy to this important work.

After taking a few weeks off in July your NSEA bargaining team is back to work. Today we met as a team and will be back at the table with NSD leadership tomorrow to fight for a fair contract for our members. Stay tuned.

Celebrating our Education Support Professionals

World ESP Day was on Saturday but we think every day is a good day to recognize the work of our Education Support Professionals like Federal Way's Brenda Bargelt. Our paraeducators, nurses, food service workers, maintenance and janitorial staff, bus drivers, clerical, technical, skilled trades and security personnel ensure safe and supportive learning conditions for students. Bargelt, WEA's 2026 ESP of the Year, is a data secretary at Career Academy and Federal Way Open Doors at Truman, an alternative-education campus.
