An event manager at a banquet hall is responsible for making sure every event runs smoothly from the first customer inquiry to the final cleanup. Their duties typically include:

Before the Event

* Meet with clients to understand their vision, budget, and requirements.
* Conduct venue tours and explain available packages.
* Prepare contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
* Coordinate with caterers, decorators, DJs, photographers, and other vendors.
* Create a detailed event timeline and floor plan.
* Confirm guest counts, seating arrangements, and special requests.
* Ensure all permits, insurance, and venue policies are followed.

During the Event

* Arrive before vendors to oversee setup.
* Ensure tables, chairs, linens, décor, lighting, and audio systems are ready.
* Welcome the client and vendors.
* Coordinate the event schedule (grand entrance, speeches, dinner service, cake cutting, dancing, etc.).
* Resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
* Supervise banquet staff, servers, bartenders, security, and cleaners.
* Ensure guests receive excellent customer service.

After the Event

* Oversee breakdown and cleanup.
* Check for damages or missing equipment.
* Confirm vendors have removed their items.
* Conduct a final walkthrough with the client if needed.
* Process any remaining payments or security deposit refunds.
* Request reviews and feedback from clients.
