A kitchen that proves warm and bright can coexist. We paired crisp white cabinetry and soft stone with rich natural wood, woven textures, warm brass, and those beautiful exposed beams overhead.

One of our favorite details is the custom wood cabinetry, which adds just enough contrast and character to keep the space from feeling too polished.

The Concept > The Reveal. For our Belleview project, the vision was a mountain home that felt warm and rustic without leaning too heavily into the expected. Natural woods and timeworn pieces set the foundation, while layers of pattern, texture, color, and collected details brought personality into every room.

We wanted it to feel like a home that belonged in the mountains, but one that had evolved over time rather than been designed all at once. Cozy, character-filled, a little unexpected, and very much made for settling in.

There’s something about the first hint of fall that makes us ready to trade open windows and long summer evenings for fires lit, layers added, and rooms that feel a little cozier.

As the seasons begin to turn, we’re rounding up a few of our favorite fireplace designs from past projects. From traditional mantels to more unexpected materials and details, the fireplace has a way of becoming the natural heart of a room, especially this time of year.

Consider this our official declaration that cozy season has begun. 🍂

With summer somehow already starting to wind down, I wanted to pop in personally and say hi, and share a little bit of what I’ve been up to these past few months. It’s been one of those seasons that has felt wonderfully full, both personally and creatively, and there is so much I’m excited to finally start sharing with you.

We completed and installed one of our largest projects to date, which has been such an incredible labor of love. I’m keeping most of it under wraps for just a little longer, but the full reveal is coming this fall and I truly cannot wait for you to see it. We also wrapped Camp Grizz, our family’s mountain home, and after spending so much time designing every little corner of it, the best part has been actually *living* in it. Our family and friends have filled it with countless weekends, long dinners, music, kids running around, and all the wonderful messiness that makes a house feel like home.

And in a very surreal, pinch-me moment, I filmed a Homeworthy tour (!!), which has been a dream of mine for such a long time. More on that so, so soon. We’ve also photographed and completed some of my favorite projects we’ve ever worked on, with lots of beautiful things waiting in the wings to share.

I snuck in a work trip to NYC, too, and had the best time getting inspired, seeing beautiful things, eating very well (obviously), and plotting what’s next with the team. There are some really special projects on the horizon, and after such a full summer, I’m heading into fall feeling very grateful for the people who trust us with their homes and very excited about everything we’re creating next. 🤍

Tile is one of our favorite places to have a little fun. We love mixing materials, playing with scale and pattern, and bringing in colors and textures that make a bathroom feel layered rather than overly coordinated.

Glossy next to matte, graphic patterns alongside natural stone, unexpected color where you might normally play it safe. The trick isn’t making everything match. It’s choosing elements that speak to each other while still bringing something different to the room.

Our favorite rooms always have a little something you don’t see coming. In this formal dining room, an intricate wallpaper pattern does double duty, creating a beautiful backdrop while cleverly disguising a hidden bar behind it.

Closed, it’s seamless and sophisticated. Open, and suddenly cocktail hour gets a lot more interesting. 🍸 We love an unexpected design moment that feels playful without taking away from the beauty of the room.

A little design show & tell from a few recent favorites. Camp Grizz, where a fireplace, a room full of instruments, and plenty of places to sink in make the living room feel like it’s been loved for years. Summerlin, all soft blue tonal layers and the kind of bedroom that immediately lowers the volume. Willow Creek, proof that a blue and white kitchen can have plenty of personality without sacrificing an ounce of timelessness. And Belleview, where mixed chair fabrics and a large red Turkish rug make the dining room feel collected, layered, and just unexpected enough.

I’ve spent years trying to convince clients to let me design a purple kitchen. Years!!

So when it came time to designing Camp Grizz, I figured there was only one solution. If nobody else was going to let me do a purple kitchen, I’d just have to build one for myself. And honestly? I have zero regrets. Every time I walk into it, it makes me smile, which is exactly what I think a home should do.

Hallways deserve more love. They’re often treated as spaces you simply pass through, but they’re an opportunity to create a moment between rooms. The trick is knowing when to add interest and when to hold back.

A beautiful light fixture, thoughtfully placed artwork, a little texture, or a rich paint color can make a hallway feel intentional without making it feel busy.

We have a type.

It usually involves one more pattern than necessary, one more gallon of paint than expected, and at least one decision that makes someone say, “Are you sure?”
