Blessed Autumn Equinox to you 🍂

This time of rebalancing , at the crux between light and dark, we are called to re-center. The dark months ahead invite us within, and this pivot can throw people off. The trees are ready to throw their leaves here soon…. What are you ready to set aside as we step towards closing the year?

It’s normal this time of year to feel tired, overworked, needing to slow down. The summer took us high - and now is not the time to cartwheel back down; we’re going to gently find our way.

So be gentle 🌎 and be kind. Ask yourself what you’ve had enough of for now. Nourish your body. Rekindle your inner fire, or at least clean away the ashes. There’s beautiful dark months to come.

As we also honor the deep waters of the sidereal Piscean Full Moon with an empowering water ceremony.

The polarity of the moon in Pisces and the sun in Virgo has a lot of medicine to offer both our intuitive and our analytical nature.

Join us as we explore these archetypes and how they play out in our lives.

End of summer on the EarthStar Land 🌞

You can feel the season turning up here and in town; Autumn is finally on the way! We are calling in WATER for the lands.

As we approach the crossing of Autumn Equinox, these are moments to take in all of your growth. Celebrate what we have - because truly there is so much beauty, abundance, and peace.

Find it in your self, and share it.

This Autumn Equinox is an opportunity to invoke harmony through the communion of opposites. This year we will engage the reciprocity of “balance” somatically through walking practices given by Murshid Samuel Lewis, the originator of the Dances of Universal Peace.

The qualities of radiance and receptivity as symbolized by the Sun and Moon will give us an experiential touchstone for the ways we choose to move through the world.

Some circle dance and reflection on Equanimity will also be a part of our celebration.  Please come with curiosity and an openness to the opportunity to practice:

Letting go: Releasing old, unhelpful habits, and patterns.

New beginnings: Setting intentions related to health, work, and personal practices.

Self-reflection: Focusing on introspection and spiritual practices.

Timothy Dobson has served as minister and ceremonialist at the Starhouse for over 30 years, and initiated and nurtured the largest Peace Dance community in the world along the Colorado Front Range. He is known for his clarity of instruction and humor as a facilitator.

This time is often considered potent for inner work and reflection rather than starting major new material ventures.
