Two weeks ago, our Boston cohort had the privilege of learning from two board members of the Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology, and Religion (OCAMPR): Dr. Mena Mesiha and Dr. Sarah Byrne-Martelli. @ocamprinfo Through stories from their own vocation journeys, Dr. Mesiha, an orthopedic surgeon, and Dr. Byrne-Martelli, a hospice and palliative care chaplain, invited our Corps Members to reflect on the many ways service can take shape in the world. Their witness offered a powerful reminder that every profession can become a place of compassion, healing, and service.

This year’s OCAMPR Conference centers on a theme that speaks deeply to our shared work: Trauma and Woundedness - Healing, Reconciliation, and Wholeness in the Orthodox Christian Tradition. Join us for a time of learning, fellowship, and connection with colleagues across disciplines. Early-bird pricing is live for a limited time.

Open House Community of Practice

Join us at 7 PM ET this Thursday for an open house Community of Practice with Dr. Ana Iltis, who will introduce emerging applications of artificial intelligence in health care and explore potential benefits and risks. The presentation will also consider what responsible integration of AI into health care requires.

Participants will be invited to share their own experiences with AI, whether intentionally or simply because it is embedded in the tools they already use, and to reflect on how AI is shaping their work, their patients’, clients’ & parishioners’ expectations, and the future of their professions. Additionally, in collaboration with the CrossRoad Institute, OCAMPR will be surveying members and Community of Practice participants about their observations and thoughts about young people’s use of AI Chatbots. This optional survey will be made available at the event and following via email.
