Bryan ISD Advanced Academics

During Monday's Bryan ISD Board Workshop, the board recognized Bryan Collegiate High School in Bryan ISD for its recognition by U.S. News and World Report! For the 14th consecutive year, Bryan Collegiate High School has been named one of the best high schools in the country for 2026. For the third year in a row, the ranking also puts BCHS in the top 100 high schools in Texas! The Panthers rank in the top 3% of high schools in Texas, #1 in the Brazos Valley, and in the top 3% in the United States!

BCHS Principal Dr. Desiree Caperton credited the hard work of the entire BCHS community, from staff and students to families, for keeping up the high expectations that led to this recognition. We are so proud and excited to celebrate this achievement!

Now launching: Bryan ISD Virtual Academy.

Bryan ISD is excited to introduce a new, tuition-free virtual learning option for students in grades 3–12 who thrive in a non-traditional setting. Beginning in August 2026, the Virtual Academy will offer a rigorous online education with two flexible pathways: Full-Time Virtual [grades 3-12] and Full-Time Hybrid [grades 7-12] (a blend of virtual and in-person learning). Out-of-district transfers are also welcome.

Students will have access to advanced academic courses while staying connected to the full Bryan ISD experience through extracurricular opportunities like athletics, fine arts, CTE, and student organizations.

Admission is based on a review of prior academic records, including grades and STAAR performance. Students requiring specialized services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
