It is with profound sadness that the Buda Fire Department announces the passing of our brother and fellow firefighter, Jason Eckstrom, who lost his lengthy battle with cancer today.

Jason fought a long, tough, and courageous battle with incredible strength and determination. His loss is deeply felt throughout our Buda Fire family, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him.

Please keep Jason’s family, friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Additional details will be released once arrangements have been made.

Rest easy, brother. We’ll take it from here. 🔥🖤❤️🖤
